DPS Relocation assist in the relocation of a group project team for a major UK energy provider.

Presentations

As part of the original brief, DPS were asked to provide consultation to the in-house relocation department and present a suitable proposal to a group project team looking to relocate. Our Aberdeen specialist attended the presentation, along with a local solicitor and the DPS Managing Director, to fully outline how the relocations would be managed and provide any necessary assurances regarding a long distance move.

Area Orientations

Group orientation trips were planned for the entire group team in Aberdeen, taking into consideration any areas of interest, including schools, leisure and sports etc. This activity helped alleviate many of the initial concerns within the group project team's families, easing obvious anxiety and increasing general acceptance of the scheme.

Further Consultations

Acceptance and take-up of the relocation by the group project team was closely monitored throughout the duration of the project. Any further questions raised were dealt with promptly on an on-going basis and additional information supplied whenever necessary.

The First Relocations

Accompanied viewing days were organised by DPS Relocation, showing the group project team and families between 8 - 10 suitable properties, based on their specific needs and entitlements.

Negotiations

Once a property was selected by the family, DPS Relocation handled all initial offers and negotiations, securing suitable leasing agreements on their behalf. DPS also attended the move in, provided inventory-checks and generally helped settle the family in to the new location.

Success

To date, additional take-up by new group project team members is in excess of the original estimated number. The group project team has settled quickly, proving to be a successful on-going venture for the client.
